Small Hall – Holds up to 150 people and the Large Hall – Holds up to 160 people, folding doors link both halls access to kitchen, store room and toilets. The small hall is part of the original memorial hall, measuring 6.1 x 11.9m with a large store room at one end. The large hall is part of the extension to the original hall, measuring 8.5 x 16.4 with a stage area at one end. Large folding doors link the small hall into the large hall for larger functions. Via a small lobby area the kitchen can be accessed, the full fitted kitchen also has several serving hatches onto the small hall and the entrance lobby. There is also a ramped access adjacent to the front service road.

Leigh and Bransford hall is one of the largest village halls available for hire within the county, catering for up to 310 party goers. Both halls have separate toilet blocks, provide disabled access and have access to the large flat field to the front of the hall which is excellent for sporting parties, bouncy castle or BBQ. There is a flexible layout allowing either the small hall or the large hall to be hired with shared use of the communal kitchen, which is well-equipped.

An alcohol beverage licence must also be obtained please refer to the terms and conditions and the music licence expires at midnight.  Please note that we encourage children and family parties, however teenage parties 14-21st require a substantial damage deposit to be paid prior to hire and an adult guarantor will be required to cover any costs, should they occur, these parties require full approval by the main committee. The hirer must leave the hall and facilities in a clean and tidy manner, any breakages or damages must be reported prior to leaving site.

Booking Instructions

  • To book click on you desired day and select your time period
  • The price is then reflected in the reservation tab.
  • If you require extras, please click in the appropriate tick box.
  • You have to be over 21 to make a booking
  • Please now check that you have booked the dates you require.
  • If you have a coupon complete the coupon code box to receive your discount.
  • Complete the contact information then click the orange ‘Book Now’ button.
  • When you have made the booking please wait for approval.
  • Once approval has been made you will be sent a Paypal Invoice
  • Please carefully enter your details to pay either by your PayPal account or with a Credit / Debit card.
  • Once payment has been completed you will receive an email for your booking.
  • The calendar will update with the days you have selected marked as ‘Booked’.
  • You will be sent confirmation E-mails of your bookings

    The hire period will start from the time of entry until final departure. Ideal for sporting parties, sports clubs, bouncy castle parties, car boot sales, BBQs or even a marquee. The field can be hired with either hall or alone. An outside tap is on site.

Frequently asked questions

How big are the Halls and how many can they accommodate?

The Small Hall has the capacity for up to 150 people and measures approximately 6.1m x 11.9m

The Large Hall has the capacity for up to 160 people and measures approximately 8.5m x 16.4m.

What is the maximum number of guests legally allowed in the halls?

When using both halls you can accommodate up to a total of 310 guests.

Can we arrange our own bar?

Yes, you can arrange to have your own Licensed Bar for the sale of alcohol, or you can use a local public house that regularly provides this service to the hall.

Can I have my Teenage party at the Hall?

The Trustees have reluctantly decided that they cannot accept bookings for just Teenage Parties, however family parties, which include teenagers, may be allowed subject to a larger damage deposit/bond. A responsible adult must guarantee the party against all damage and/or additional cleaning costs should any occur. These parties will require approval from the Trustees prior to confirmation.

Can I put a marquee up on the field ?

Yes, a Marquee can be erected on the front field as part of the main hall hire agreement.

Does the hall have a PRS music licence ?

Yes – but under the terms the PRS music license requires all music to end at or by midnight.

Do you have an option for cleaners to clean the hall after use?

Yes, our regular cleaners can clean the hall for you the following morning, depending on their availability and the length of time available before the next hire. There is a charge (on application) for this service, which must be pre-booked and paid for in advance.

Where do I collect the keys?

There is a key safe located outside the building, which opens the main doors. You (the HIRER) will be advised of the code to the key safes by e-mail just before the booked date. This code will be changed throughout the year. There is also an additional key safe within the building with a full set of keys to access all areas for weddings and larger parties. Again this code will be emailed across upon request. IMPORTANT – All keys must be returned to the key safe on completion of hire, failure to do so will result in a £50 charge being deducted from your deposit/bond.

Is the hall heated?

Yes, the Small Hall has overhead electric heaters that can be switched on in pairs as required. The Large Hall is fitted with night storage heaters; please do not adjust these heaters.

Is there an option for cleaners to clean the hall after use?

Yes, our regular cleaners can clean the hall for you the following morning, depending on their availability and the timing of the next event. There is a charge for this service (on application, depending upon the level of clean) and the service must be booked and paid for in advance.
